Review & Intro: Moses has reminded the people as they are about to enter the promised land how the Lord gave them tests in the wilderness to humble them and see what was in their heart for the Lord. He will remind them in Chapter 10 how the Lord was gracious to rewrite the 10 commandments for them and then He will tell them what the Lord requires from them. It will only be responsible if they circumcise their hearts and stop having a stiff neck. Have we had our hearts circumcised by Him? Deuteronomy Chapter 10 - Observation Questions 1. After Moses had shattered the first set of commandments that the Lord had written when he witnessed the worship of the golden calf led by his brother, the High Priest, Aaron .... We see the Lord's grace in being willing to rewrite them again on stones. Are you a person with a stiff neck toward the things of the Lord? The picture is one of being hard headed and not willing to change your ways. It comes back to being humble and not proud. Pride in our own ways and ideas is rebellion. We need to find out what the Lord wants from us and do it "His" way. Review what He told them to do in regard to having a relationship with Him.
